The program includes a combination between background info, farm tours by host farmers and training questions and evaluation. All trainings and tours include background info on Nepalese/Dutch farming, visits to different farm types, and analysis of how to use the lessons learnt in the own country context. On request we can also organize visits to companies, laboratories, research institutes etc. related to dairy farming.
Types of Dairy Farm Visits:
Educational Tours – Schools, colleges, and agricultural students visit to learn about dairy farming.
Farm Experience Tours – Visitors can see the milking process, interact with cows, and understand daily farm operations.
Business/Research Visits – Farmers, investors, and researchers explore modern dairy techniques and technologies.
Family & Recreational Visits – Some farms offer agrotourism experiences, including farm stays and fresh dairy product tastings.
Dairy Farm Study Trips in Germany:
From 24 to 30 April 2023, six dairy farmers from Nepal visited Southern Germany for a technical visit on dairy farming. For more details, please open link below. The study tour, organized by AgrarKontakte International (AKI) e.V., in close cooperation with Dairy Training Center Nepal, Kathmandu, Nepal aimed at imparting knowledge on advanced technologies and best practices in dairy farming to the participants.
As the Nepalese government provides investment and subsidies to the dairy sector, the farmers wanted to get ideas and knowledge on how to improve dairy farm, milk production, and quality in their home country during their study tour in southern Germany.
